Only on reaching Belfast is it necessary to choose either the northern route through Dullstroom to Lydenburg and through to either Pilgrim’s Rest via R540 and the R36 or the R37 to Sabie over the scenic Long Tom Pass. The other alternative is to continue down the N4 and through the scenic Elands River Valley to Nelspruit, a more straightforward route.
